"What is a Veteran?"
Most often, a citizen of the United States of America, but, often, a non citizen who simply loves his host country, who signs a “blank check” to the United States Government and it’s Commander-in-Chief, for any amount up to and including his/her life, and, which is valid for 2, 3, 4, or more years.
That is the definition of a “Veteran”
Many of those checks have been cashed! Unfortunately, most Americans today are unaware of these transactions as they languish in the comforts and freedom that is only a reality in the United States of America because of these payments and sacrifices.
Our Government has not used all of those Checks wisely, making bad purchase choices and wasting those checks on failed endeavors.
This has no bearing on the ones that issued those checks. They made no conditions or demands at the time. Their commitment was for their Government to use the funds as “they saw fit”, no questions asked.
As bad is it may seem to you at this time, the United States of America is the most free, safe, humane, and cordial place to live on this celestial body we call Earth. It was made possible for you and I by VETERANS.
